Dear BA Day Registrants,

It is with sincere regret that we must cancel this event. We understand how meaningful these gatherings are for our community, and we truly apologize for any inconvenience this change may cause.
While we are unable to host the event as planned, we would still love for your family to enjoy a special BA Day at the Denver Zoo. If you or your family would still like to experience the magic of the DZCA on Saturday, May 2nd, please email jordan.sarbaugh@bareinc.org—we would be honored to provide them for you.

What's Next?
We invite you to stay connected with BARE and take advantage of the many programs and resources available to support your journey.

Some important programs & updates to highlight:
-
We are excited to share that our Caregiver Support Group is now accepting applications. This program is designed for caregivers of children with BA at any stage of the journey. The group meets once a week for six weeks, with each session lasting one hour. The first session begins on May 17 and is facilitated by Amanda Griffith-Atkins. Learn more & apply by visiting the Caregiver Support Group Program page.
This 6-week group is FREE for caregivers to participate.

-
We are also pleased to offer a Wellness Retreat for the BA community, including caregivers, spouses, and adult BA patients (please note this retreat is not for children). The retreat is all-inclusive, covering accommodations, programming, airport transfers, and meals (excluding alcohol) for three nights and four days. To reserve your spot, we simply ask that you select one of three donation options. Learn more HERE
NOTE: If you are part of our 6-week virtual caregiver support program, we do offer BARE subsidies for this retreat as it complements the work done during the 6-week sessions.

-
To be up-to-date on all things BA and BARE, we encourage you to join our BARE Connection Network (BCN)—an exclusive community for BA caregivers and adult patients. Members can connect with others, receive updates and opportunities before the general public, and participate in surveys and community initiatives.
NOTE: We are currently transitioning over to a community platform that will allow conversation, groups, conversation, webinars, etc.. This is exclusively for BCN members and not the general public (much like we see with online or social media groups)

-
We also invite you to our 2026 Webinar Series. Each month, BARE hosts two webinars:
- FACT webinars focused on education, science, and research
-
FEEL webinars centered on social, emotional, and community support
-

These webinars are designed to make critical information and connection as accessible as possible for BA families. All webinar recordings can be accessed with an email address via our Webinar Library.

Although this event has been canceled, we have other BA Days scheduled across the country, and families from all locations are welcome to attend. You can view upcoming dates and locations HERE

Finally, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for your interest in BA Day. These events are only possible because of the generous support of our partners—COTA, Ipsen, ALF, and Mirum. We encourage you to learn more about their commitment to improving the quality of life within the BA community.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to connect with you soon.
