Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity that inspires people to give back to the causes that matter most. While it’s not BARE’s largest fundraising event, it’s an important opportunity to make a meaningful impact. This year, all funds raised will directly support BARE’s Caregiver/Patient Support Program, piloted in 2025 and launching in 2026.
Caregiving for someone with biliary atresia can be stressful and traumatic, often leading to anxiety, depression, sleep disturbances, and burnout. Without support, these challenges can compromise a caregiver’s well-being, relationships, and ability to provide consistent care. BARE’s six-week virtual support program—led by a licensed professional—offers a structured space to process experiences, build resilience, and gain practical tools and emotional connection.
Our pilot program showed promising results: most participants demonstrated improvement or stability, with no reported increase in functional impairment, despite the brief intervention of just one hour per week.
By supporting this program, you help caregivers and patients heal, reconnect, and thrive, strengthening their ability to care for themselves and their families.
